HX Series

The HX series is the latest addition to our range of spring making machines. This machine has been designed for both, very fast set up and high speed production of precision springs and wire forms. There are two machines in the HX series, HX - 35 and HX - 60 and, with a wire capacity ranging from 1.00mm - 6.00mm.

Although the machines are equipped with 14 axis as standard, the powerful industrial grade computer is capable of controlling up-to 21 axis. The computer uses the latest touch screen technology and an SD memory card for software and program storage. Spring programs can also be backed-up to an optional USB Drive. The computer is also equipped with an Ethernet Port allowing it to be connected to your corporate network.

The HX Series machines are designed around a new advanced Digital Control System which is based around the PowerLink Industrial Ethernet Standard.

Wire forming concept

The wire is passed through a wire wheel into a set of dual plane wire straighteners, it is then fed into the machine via a set of pressurised feed rollers, which form part of the Rotary Wire Feed system. The Rotary Wire Feed combined with the XYZ movement of the whole wire feed unit allows precise angular positioning of the part relative to the tools, which even allows for off-centre wire forming operations.

Optional extras include, a fully CNC controlled coiling/forming head and dual axis spinners with a CNC controlled centre mandrel.
